What happened to DaisySMS

DaisySMS announced on 24 February 2026 that it was closing. New sign-ups and balance top-ups stopped that day, users with a balance were emailed several times, and the site shut down on 26 March 2026.

Is JuicySMS the right replacement for you?

A good fit if

  • You need US numbers for one-time verification codes.
  • You’d also like UK, Dutch or Philippine numbers from the same account.
  • You only want to pay for codes that actually arrive.
  • You want to pay by card, iDEAL or another European method, or with crypto.

Not the right fit if

  • You need a US number for weeks or months. DaisySMS offered long-term US rentals; our monthly rentals are UK and Dutch numbers only.
  • You need many orders open at once. By default an account has one open order at a time.

How JuicySMS works

1

Pick a service and a country

You see the exact price before you order. One-time numbers start at €0.50.

2

Get a real mobile number

The number is yours for 10 minutes. The code shows up in your dashboard, or through the API.

3

Pay only if the SMS arrives

If no message comes in, the order expires and costs nothing. Need the same number again for the same service? Reuse it at half price.

Moving a DaisySMS integration

DaisySMS’s API followed SMS-Activate’s format (handler_api.php), so tools built for it have been failing since the shutdown. JuicySMS has a documented REST API with an OpenAPI 3.1 specification. The calls map over like this:

  • getBalance

    GET /account

    Balance and account settings.

  • getPrices

    GET /services?country=US

Services, their ids and your price.

  • getNumber

    POST /orders

Send service_id, country and an optional max_price.

  • getStatus

    GET /orders/{id}/messages

Poll every 2 to 3 seconds until the code is there.

  • setStatus 8 (cancel)

    POST /orders/{id}/cancel

Free: a cancelled order is not charged.

  • setStatus 6 (finish)

    Not needed

An order completes by itself when the SMS arrives.

  • NO_NUMBERS

    409 out_of_stock

Marked retryable: try again a little later.

  • NO_BALANCE

    insufficient_balance

    Top up in your dashboard.

  • Responses are JSON instead of plain text. Every error has a stable code and a retryable flag.
  • Countries are written as US, UK, NL or PH instead of numbers like 187. Service ids come from GET /services.
  • Your API key goes in an Authorization: Bearer header, never in the URL.
  • By default an account has one open order at a time.

Questions

Is DaisySMS coming back?

There is no sign of it. DaisySMS’s own website says it shut down on 26 March 2026 and that questions go to its support email.

Can I transfer my DaisySMS balance?

No. JuicySMS has no connection to DaisySMS and can’t see or transfer balances. DaisySMS emailed users with a balance before it closed.

Do you have US numbers?

Yes. One-time US numbers are real mobile numbers on US carriers, from €0.50 depending on the service. We also have UK, Dutch and Philippine numbers.

Can I rent a US number long-term?

Not at the moment. Monthly rentals are available for UK and Dutch numbers: €15 for a month, €30 for three months, €50 for six and €70 for a year.

Will every app accept your numbers?

No provider can promise that, and neither can we: each platform decides which numbers it accepts. If no code arrives, the order expires and you are not charged.

Is JuicySMS related to DaisySMS?

No. JuicySMS is an independent Dutch service that has been running since 2018.
